Q: What information do you need if I want to get a quote for a custom plastic part?
A: We prefer a 3D drawing in formats like IGS, STEP, or X-T. However, if you have a CAD drawing with equivalent information, including weight details or samples for evaluation, we can work with those as well.
Additionally, please provide other pertinent details such as the quantity required and any specific needs like painting, printing, or assembly.
Q: What materials can you handle?
A: We expertly work with a wide range of plastic materials, including but not limited to PC, PP, ABS, Nylon, PA6, PA66, TPE, PVC, PBT, Nylon with Glass Fiber, Polycarbonate with Glass Fiber, AS, PS, and more. For rubber parts, our expertise extends to NBR, Silicone, and other materials.
Q: I have a custom plastic part to make. I have the design but I'm not familiar with injection molding. Can you advise if this part may shrink or not work with injection molding?
A: Absolutely! Our engineering team is adept not only in part design but also in assessing injection feasibility. Upon receiving your drawing, we will thoroughly evaluate it for injection suitability and identify potential design issues. For instance, if your part design includes unnecessary plastic, which could escalate costs and cause surface sinks, we'll provide feedback before proceeding.
Q: What colors can you do for my plastic part?
A: We can achieve any color available in the Pantone and RAL color systems, thus offering you a wide spectrum of choices.
Q: What's your lead time for mold creation and production?
A: Typically, we can dispatch samples within 30-35 days from mold order confirmation. Production lead time ranges from 2 to 8 weeks, contingent on the order volume.
Q: What's the mold life guarantee?
A: We provide a lifetime mold guarantee. Generally, a mold may begin to wear after approximately 500,000 shots, but if your order volume reaches this threshold, we will manufacture a new mold at no additional cost to ensure continued, stable production. This means you pay for the mold once, and we assume responsibility for all production from this mold.
Q: Is the mold our property once we pay for it in full?
A: Yes, once the payment is completed, the mold becomes your property. We maintain it in-house solely to serve your production needs. The mold will only be altered with your consent, and we will not produce from it for any third party without your permission.
Q: What are your delivery terms?
A: Our terms are EXW pricing for air shipments and FOB Ningbo for sea shipments. Located in Ningbo, we can also arrange shipment to other ports or locations as needed, with negotiable pricing.
