Q: What information do you need to provide a quote for a custom plastic part?
A: Ideally, a 3D drawing in IGS/STEP/X-T format is preferred. However, other formats that offer equivalent information are acceptable, such as CAD drawings with weight specifications or physical samples sent to us for evaluation.
Additionally, please specify other relevant details, such as the required quantity, and any special requirements like painting, printing, or assembly.
Q: What materials can you handle?
A: We expertly create plastic parts utilizing a wide array of materials, including PC, PP, ABS, Nylon, PA6, PA66, TPE, PVC, PBT, Nylon with Glass Fiber, Polycarbonate with Glass Fiber, AS, PS, and more. We also craft rubber parts in materials like NBR and Silicone.
Q: I have a custom plastic part design. I'm unfamiliar with injection molding and unsure about shrinkage or functionality. Can you advise?
A: YES! Our skilled engineering team is well-versed in both part design and injection feasibility. Once we receive your drawing, we will assess its injection feasibility and identify any potential design issues. For instance, if the design includes unnecessary plastic that could increase costs and cause surface sink marks, we will notify you before proceeding.
Q: What colors can you offer for my plastic part?
A: We can produce any color from the Pantone and RAL color systems, ensuring your plastic parts are as vibrant as envisioned.
Q: What is your lead time for mold creation and production?
A: Typically, we can deliver samples within 30-35 days from the mold order. The production lead time varies from 2 to 8 weeks, depending on the order size.
Q: What is the mold life guarantee?
A: We offer a lifetime guarantee. Generally, a mold begins to show signs of aging after approximately 500,000 cycles. If production reaches this level, we will create a new mold at our expense to ensure consistent production. You pay for the mold once, and we manage all production from this model.
Q: Does the mold become our property once it's fully paid?
A: Yes, the mold becomes your property once fully paid. We safeguard it onsite solely to fulfill your production needs, and any changes or third-party production require your permission.
Q: What are your delivery terms?
A: Our terms are EXW for air shipments and FOB Ningbo for sea shipments. As we're based in Ningbo, it's our nearest port. However, we can arrange shipping to other locations or ports as needed, with negotiable pricing.
